A registered charity no: 309639 consisting of 8 schools located in the UK and Southern France
Established in 1969

About us:

The Old Malthouse benefits from its location on The Jurassic Coast (a World Heritage Site). This makes it the perfect location to study Life and Earth Sciences. The centre runs bespoke courses for children aged 10 to 16 whose teachers want to put into practice what has been taught in the classrooms.

There is an emphasis on getting outside to explore the flora, fauna, geography and geology of the Isle of Purbeck and the surrounding area. Schools from all over the UK stay at the Old Malthouse for up to a week.

The field centre is well equipped and also caters for groups who want to carry out their own studies or wish to partake in some outdoor pursuits. A whole variety of studies are undertaken from Common Entrance Geography to GCSE Biology.

The centre can cater for groups of up to 70 and has its own sports hall, pitches and tennis courts. There is also a small farm which helps to supply the kitchens.
